Here are some images from our time in the park last Saturay. I love spending time with my family. I am so glad the weather is warmng up as I have said before. I have been doing the slim in six which is a beachbody pruduct. I am working on getting my body back. I like to swim, and do the eliptical at the gym. I am also a video queen. I have a lot of vhs excercise videos, now I am working on my dvd excercise library. Pretty soon I’ll be working on running a mile in 7 minutes,it’s on my goal list.

When I first moved to Michigan, I was 16. It was my senior year in high school, and I moved here to live with my Aunt. I use to be super shy, super quiet, and super not prepared. That was until I moved in with my Aunt. She told me never except no for an answer, ask for what you want. She taught me how to stand up for myself, how to believe in myself, and what I could achieve. She told me that your words have power, and she has always told me that what you put out into the universe is what will happen. So that means speak positive and what you want to happen. I would not be who I am now without first of all God, then the things I have been through, and the people that have been in my life, and especially without my Aunt. I would not be the strong women I am without her. My aunt was diagnosed with cancer a while ago. I had not seen her since last summer, although I speak to her often, when I saw her this weekend I was thankful. Thankful to have her in my life, thankful, so thankful for her. I know that she will beat cancer, I know she will regain good health, and continue to be there for me, when I need her. Words can not express how much I love her. When I saw her, I gave her a hug, and it was one of those hugs, that you will never forget. It was like everything that needed to be said was all said with a hug, and a kiss.
The first time I remeber meeting my uncle I was 11, I had moved to Washington,to live with my grandmother. He was watching cartoons, I think he was 18 at the time, I remember we would watch the movie Willow many times, especially on Christmas morning. My uncle is more like a brother to me. I miss him a lot, because he has always lived in Washington, while I lived either in Cali or Michigan. However, now he is farther then I want him to be. He is in Iraq, serving our country. While he has been there everytime he comes to my mind, I pray for him, hope he’s ok and know’s we love him.
My sister Acacia, has turned into a beautiful women. I remember when I use to change her diapers, she use to break my crayons, and get me in trouble : ) She also is a photographer, and mother. She is growing into a great person, I miss her to.
While there are MANY people in my life who I appreciate, I have a photo here from last year, when the Keys family had a get together, and my uncle and his son came to MI to visit us. Keys family get togethers are sometimes few and far between, this day was such a good one. Good food, good company, and good conversation.
Please let the one’s you love, know you love them. Appreciate every moment, every conversation, and pray for them.

Susan Lucci (I think she’s such a lady) was on Good Morning America this morning. I have menioned before that I watch General Hospital, well I also like to watch All My Children, and One Life to Live. I have been watching them ever since I could remember. I would remember on days when there was no school, I would be home and my mom would be watching the ABC soaps. I have noticed that my daughters know the characters, and ask questions, and even let me know what’s going on if I miss something. For a period I had to only choose one or two a day to watch, because 3 hours in a row, is a lot of TV to watch in the afternoon. Some days I will clean or do things during the commercials. However,I started taping them when I ‘m busy, to watch when I ‘m up late or on the weekends when I’m editing photos, or there is nothing good on. Lately on General Hospital, Carly ( my fave character) , well her son is in a coma, at first I thought he was going to die, but then I heard he’s going to wake up, by the end of this week. When I was younger I remember that my dad use to yell, when he watched sports, I do the same thing when something good happens on my soaps, silly I know, but hey that’s what I do : )
On another note, my camera is ready. I am so happ, I’ll be picking it up today. If all goes right, I’ll take the girls outside or the park and take some pictures. Pretty soon I’ll have my new camera I can’t wait!!!!! But I’m really happy to have my old baby (camera) back, it’ like missing one of my kids : (

Well I said I would post a picture of myself and here it is.I thought of what I would say about the picture, and many thoughts went through my head. Being a woman,person,and in front of the camera, I know that people are self critical. When I take pictures of people I want them to love the pictures we take. I had my daughter take some snapshots with the point and shoot, the one with my hair down is her photo. The one with my hair up, is one I took. Nothing professional, just a quick shot. I do want to get some nice pictures taken of myself,
but I will wait till I lose my baby weight, which I am working on.
Right now I’m watching Jimmy Kimmel and Leona Lewis is on singing,bleeding love. I am hooked on that song. She can sing, and she’s gorgeous.She kind of reminds me of Mariah Carey when she first came out. Well I’m off to bed, I need to start going to sleep earlier.

The weather is getting better warmer here in Michigan. I am so happy, being a California girl, I miss the warm weather. Priscilla Presley was voted off Dancing With The Stars today. I didn’t get to watch it yesterday, I did tape it, so I’ll watch it later. I didn’t start watching it till the finale of the first season. I am hooked on it, I wish I had seen it from the beginning. I watch General Hospital, and I like Kelly Monnaco if I spelled her name right. When R.L. gets a little older I want to take some dancing lessons. Not sure which kind, but I will take some dance class. I can’t believe how fast time is going. May will be here before I know it. I will be teaching a Digital Camera class at WCCD. Let me know if you are interested.

My SLR camera is still in the shop : ( I can’t wait to get my new camera. I went to a seminar Thursday, and I got to play with the camera I’ll be getting. It is SO nice! I am happy that the weather is warming up. I want to to go out and take some pictures.
So I was talking to my brother about my wedding contest. I told him I had only one entry, which is better then none. And he said that I should hold one more contest. I love taking pictures, especially weddings. To be part of someone’s wedding, and getting to know them is very special to me. That being said it is a lot of work. However, when you love something, a lot of work can become a work of passion. SO I was thinking about having one more contest. The same rules will apply. I would really love to shoot a wedding or second shoot a wedding between May and July(but later weddings can enter also). So are there any takers? Please let me know. The wedding contest is BACK ON!

Giving is a good thing, for many reasons. For one it’s great to be in a position to give and bless someone, and it feels good. How nice it is that Towanda has given ME the opportunity to possibly photograph one of the most memorable moments of her brother and future sister-in-law’s live (This might remind someone of a certain TV show involving a rose). Well, sometimes I have a little to say and sometimes I have a lot. Unfortunately I don’t have a picture to post. This past Sunday was my husbands BDAY and our 8th wedding anniversary. Where do I start about this day. Well, Happy Birthday baby, I love you : ) xoxo I think that days go slow, and time goes fast. I can’t believe we have been married 8 years I can’t wait till 10 years(and the rest of our lives). We didn’t do much, we have kids, so we did what we do best we had FAMILY day. That’s how we do it! There is nothing better then a good dinner and a movie with your family.Ok, I’ll be real marriage at times is not easy, and sometimes it is, at least for me, and also that’s what I heard. I do know for sure that God made my husband for me, and he made me for my husband. Had we not been through the things, we have been through in our lives who know’s if we would have worked out ; ) lol I couldn’t have asked for a better man, or father for my children. He is a great dad and husband. I love my family so much. Thank you God!
My sister moved to Phoenix last weekend with my nephew, I miss them : ( even though I didn’t see them everyday, it was nice knowing there were a short car ride away. Appreciate what you have, you don’t know how long you will have it.
Ok, enough of the semi-mushy stuff. The weather is getting warmer, right now the news is saying it’s 57 even though it is raining. I can’t wait to start having sessions outside. I’m really excited for some sessions that I have lined up, you’ll see some of the images after I take them.
