Finally, here are the pictures I took a couple of weeks ago. These images are of a guy, Knee, his nick name if you will. In a few weeks you will see why he is called this (I’ll post some images from my project). Ok, so these images are of Knee and part of his family Jenni, and Joel. I met Knee through a project I am working on. He works at Liquid Chaos which is an awesome and talent filled tattoo and piercing shop. You can make an appointment at
(313) 299-3435.
When taking photos of children, you have to shoot them quick. One moment they may be smiling and the next they are not. My kids went on the shoot with us, and they had fun playing with Joel. Joel and his mom are sweet, you can tell in their eyes. They were all great to shoot, check it out for yourself:

Took the family pic first…

Then mom and dad had to shake some smiles out of Joel…

They managed to get one sitting up : )

Then I tried to get another family photo, but Joel was not having it…

Joel pretty much without words said he was done taking pictures, isn’t he adorable.

So I moved on to mom and dad, Jenni showed off her tat for me. They are intense, look at those eyes.
Thanks for posing for me guys!
I probably won’t post tomorrow, so everyone have a HAPPY THANKSGIVING! : )

Have you ever seen the movie or commercial, where someone is holding a baby, they put the baby down it starts crying, they pick it up and it stops crying. Well since last Sunday I can totally relate. R.L. has been teething since last Wednesday. I feel so bad for him! He has all the symptoms, runny nose, fever, knawing on his finger. I think he even has a cold, so I am taking him to the doctor today, just in case there is anyting she can do. The children’s tylenol does not seem to be helping with the pain. I hate when my children are sick or not feeling good, I don’t like to see them like that. I have been holding him about 85% of each day since last Wednesday otherwise he is crying. I am only able to post now, because he is finally sleeping.
I have the TV on vh1, in the morning they have videos and I just heard this song Crush, by David Archuleta. I like this song check it out. I don’t really watch American Idol, apparently he was on it. I like this song.Check this one out from Kid Rock, I like some of his songs. This is a good one representing Detroit, I love the vanilla bean black and white scenes. The video is called “Roll On”.
Ok.well I tried to include the vide but I can’t find the codes. I’ll do it later if I find them.
Guess who’s awake? Ok,I’m done typing with one hand : )

I feel like it has been a long time since I blogged. A LOT has happened since, but I want to catch up. So last time I mentioned the fam and I went to a basketball game (my first). It was fun, my cousin-in-law hooked us up. Check out her website and blog at
http://www.rocspace.org/
It is a place for christians to fellowship, there is so much on there. Check it out : )
So here was our view from the game
Good times : )
So I found myself with no kids, not even R.L. so I went to the gym. I recently updated my membership and now I have a lifetime membership, yay! The only thing is they don’t have babysitting, but they do have a steam room and swimming pool, which I love. Ok, so I went to the gym tonight, did 20 minutes on the treadmill, and about 10 in the steam room. I really felt like I was actually having me time. During this time, I noticed my hands and feet. I don’t remember the last time I painted my nails, I’m lucky if I get to use the nail clippers for chiped nails : ) I need to work on this. It seems like even if I try to make time for myself,
something pops up,
I have to go, but pics coming soon from a shoot I had last week. Have a good one!

Oh MY God! Barack Obama is President! All day I have been excited, excited at the possibility of CHANGE! Excited that a bi-racial black man can be president. Excited that as a nation we Americans are uniting. I have voted for every presidential election since I was 18. I was never more proud to vote then this year. I’m hopeful that the economy is going to improve, and Americans will unite to fight for the success of our country. I was out today, trying to take images that will capture history, and I did. However, while I was out, it was encouraging to me to be able to see people of different races, economic, and social backgrounds voting for Obama. When I asked people who they were voting for and they said Obama I felt like I related to them. Let’s keep Obama and his families safety in our prayers. Let’s also say a prayer that through Obama, God will make America a stronger nation in all aspects.
I am so excited still. I am waiting for Obama’s speech! I feel like crying. Maybe I will after I hear his speech. I wish his grandma could have seen this day : ( Now that makes me want to cry.
Edited to Ad (ETA):
I am so inspired! I am so happy to be an American right now. The road ahead will not be easy, but we will do the work becuase YES, WE CAN. Here is an image I took earlier, I feel it expresses some of what I just heard in Obama’s speach.

The kids don’t have school today, so we are going to turn in our vote, and go take some pictures, to capture history!
I had a shoot over the weekend, here is one of my favorites, more coming soon. I processed this three different ways, and I like them all,so I’m posting them all. Which one do you like? Please leave me a comment and let me know, I would really appreciate it. Thanks a lot!
