I hope everyone is having a good Fourth of July weekend. The weather is beautiful. This Friday I had  a photo shoot with four sisters. We did the shoot in Southfield off of Telegraph. One of the sisters Trina picked the location, I’m so glad to now know another nice place to shoot. Trina shares Aleecia’s birthday  June 18, and Her nephew Donovan was born December 7, which is 7 days before R.L.  I’m off to enjoy the rest of the day, here are a few of my faves from this weekend. I’m posting similar pictures twice, I like them both,so I’m posting  both.

I can not believe that Michael Jackson is not alive  : (  The first time I heard anything I was checking my email , and read that he was taken to the hospital. Then I  looked on another site and saw that he was dead. I did not post anything at first. However, now I am hearing all of these stories. Just about everyone is talking and it has not been that long. I first want to say, he was a regular person. Celebrities I believe are regular people who are able to get paid for something they may enjoy doing. They are regular people with may more resources than the average Jane or Joe . I believe they need to have people in their life that will not let the celebrity  get to them. Of course that may be hard when you have people wanting to be close to you to take advantage of your resources. In a way I feel sorry for them because people are constantly invading their private lives, yes they may have money. But money can’t buy everything. It can buy most things but it can’t buy life. The life that is everlasting (I’m talking spiritual Ya’ll), and it can’t buy you a get out of jail free card, when the death angel comes.  I have worked around celebrities through my mentor. For me the traveling, was one of the most exciting aspects. Late nights of meeting deadlines and the satisfaction of getting the job done. That being said meeting the celebrities didn’t enrich my life. They don’t remember me, they didn’t say anything really to ME. Things about them that did enrich my life from them was their craft, be it movies ,television shows, music, and political decisions that altered my life.  Yes, it may sound cool to say I met so and so, but what really makes it cool. How is it or was it benefiting me. People benefit me by inspiring words, words that make me laugh, words that encourage or even relationships be it family or friend. When I first got started in photography  I thought I wanted to be a famous photographer. I’m not saying that I totally don’t. I am saying that I am just as happy if not more shooting weddings, and portraits. I’m not going to stress myself out to achieve a goal that just looks good on paper. When I take a photographs I want it to move someone. I feel just as happy seeing my photo on display in someone’s home as I would seeing it in a magazine or newspaper. Man (am I standing on a soap box). Ok, back to what I meant to post about.
